Dr. Adrian Blackwell is a well-renowned physician who has practiced in both emergency and urgent care settings. He’s also a patient of the healthcare system and had enough of the systematic lack of focus on patients’ medication needs.
Dr. Blackwell came to Trust Deep to help launch his new telehealth practice. His mission is to serve people first, not the healthcare system.
Here’s one of the main issues he sees: the standard process to renew maintenance medications today is convoluted.
The result? The patient stresses over making the appointment (possibly waiting many months to be seen), takes time from a busy day for the appointment, pays their co-pay, and then starts the process over for the next refill.

His mission is to serve people first, not the healthcare system. Creating his brand identity began with several interviews and workshop sessions to understand his beliefs in delivering medical care to his patients. We worked together to identify his core mission and the attributes his brand should live by.
Through our conversations, we came to understand his vision, a practice that focused first and foremost on streamlining medical renewals for a subset of all patients.
outcome
Understanding Dr. Blackwell’s deep desire to carry patients from their present state to one of improved health, we set out to name his practice. He was also very keen about differentiating his business from all others in the space (where there is not a lot of originality at the moment).
Ultimately, we created and chose the name PonteVita Rx since it translates from Italian as Life Bridge, and gives the brand more humanity than a more pedestrian name. It also allows Dr. Blackwell to carve his own niche. Our visual identity work carried through his need for the branding to be very telegraphic. We focused on a human touch as well as the visual tie to medicine.
